I am a graduate-level counseling intern currently completing supervised training toward my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Lynchburg. I also hold a professional background in education, working extensively with adolescents, adults, and families. My counseling services are provided under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor.

Your Rights as a Client:

You have the right to request a referral to another professional if needed.

You have the right to confidentiality, except in the limits described below.
Your Responsibilities as a Client:

Attend scheduled sessions on time and regularly.

Provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Actively participate in the counseling process, including sharing openly and working toward agreed-upon goals.

Communicate concerns or feedback about the counseling process.
Informed Consent
Counseling is a collaborative process where we will work together to explore your concerns, set goals, and develop strategies for growth and change. Progress depends on your active involvement and commitment, both inside and outside of sessions.
My approach is integrative, drawing primarily from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and Adlerian theories. I may adapt interventions based on your individual needs and goals.
Confidentiality
All information shared in counseling sessions is confidential, with the following exceptions required by law and professional ethics:

If you present a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult.

If records are subpoenaed by a court of law.

If disclosure is otherwise required by law.

In all other situations, your written permission will be required before information is released to another party.
